Sitting at the top of the boxing world, Regis Prograis is cementing his legacy with his action-packed fighting style and larger than life persona. Nicknamed “Rougarou,” Regis is a force to be reckoned with in the boxing ring. One look at the hard-hitting super lightweight champion of the world makes it clear he is poised to become a fighter like no other in his era.
Born and raised in New Orleans, Louisiana, Hurricane Katrina forced Regis and his family to relocate to Houston, Texas at 16-years-old. Although he was facing tragedy he quickly learned that it was the best thing that could have happened to his fledgling boxing career. In Houston, Regis trained alongside boxing legend Evander Holyfield, perfecting his craft and championing both the 2009 Ringside World and 2010 HORN National, as well as the Regional Golden Gloves finishing with an 87-7 record before turning pro in 2012.
